Kristie graduated with her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science as a Medical Laboratory Technician in 2006, and went onto work at McLeod Seacoasts and Loris for 7 years, where she met her husband. In 2011, she earned her degree in Nuclear Medicine. She left the hospital setting to go into the hospice field in 2013, after being in hospice for 5 years she found her passion for working with seniors was in the assisted living environment and earned her Administrator’s License in 2017. Kristie is passionate about Seniors and giving them the love, care, respect and quality of life that they deserve. Kristie has been married to her husband for over 10 years and has 2 little boys. In her spare time, she loves playing with her boys and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.
Director of Operations
Jill Shelley is from Green Sea, SC. She graduated from Coastal Carolina with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration. Jill began her career as a Pharmacy Technician, however she always had a passion to work with seniors. Jill is a “jack of all trades” as she is always serving compassionately in our community. Her love for her staff and residents truly makes Oaks of Loris feel like family.
Food Service Director
Kizzy Doctor is a native of Conway, SC. Kizzy has had a lifetime passion for cooking. As early as her high school years, she was taking Culinary Arts classes and was in the kitchen cooking for her family. Kizzy has served in Assisted Living facilities for over 15 years, taking pride in her great meals making our residents happy. She also serves at her church’s Hospitality Ministry catering meals to families.
Resident Care Coordinator
April West was born and raised in Conway, SC. She graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Science and then graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development. After several years as a school teacher she became compassionate towards seniors. She began working in the geriatric field and quickly fell in love with caring for seniors. As Resident Care Coordinator she cares for each resident as if they were one of her own family members.
Christine Vereen is a Myrtle Beach native. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Coastal Carolina University in Science and Health Promotion. With a passion for the seven dimensions of health, she searched for her specific love in the health field. After several years working in an administrative role for a non-profit hospice company, she joined our team as our Activity Director. Christine looks forward to every day at Oaks of Loris where she makes every resident smile. Keeping our residents healthy, physically, emotionally, and spiritually is crucial to an enriching life.
